Stephanie - investment Co-Buyer - overseas
I bought a flat in Bulgaria with 6 co-buyers, only one of which I knew. My husband and I were keen to invest some money into property, but since we couldn’t afford to buy a second property on our own, co-buying seemed like the perfect solution.
The whole process was really simple and so far has gone without a hitch. I think as long as you have good communication with your co-buyers, there really shouldn’t be any problems for anyone deciding to co-buy.
The great thing about co-buying as an investment is that even if you only have a small amount of money to invest, you still feel as if you own a property – I’d definitely do it again.
My top tips for co-buying a property would be:
Keep the lines of communication open through the process with everyone involved.
Keep everybody involved in every aspect of buying the property.
Check all paperwork.
